Change of Address

David has just moved to Paris, a shy and clumsy musician. He plays the horn and gives lessons. He falls hopelessly in love with Julia, one of his pupils, and can manage nothing at all when it comes to approaching her. His flatmate Anne steps in: she guides him, encourages him, consoles him, and she does all of it with unflagging enthusiasm. Who is in love with whom gets steadily more confused. Emmanuel Mouret directs and plays David himself, with Fanny Valette and Frédérique Bel. It is a small, quietly pitched comedy of eighty-five minutes that runs on embarrassment rather than on laughs. That is Mouret's line of work.
