What Chicken Hawk: Men Who Love Boys Is About
The documentary puts before the camera members of NAMBLA, an organisation that defends sexual contact with children and calls for the abolition of age of consent laws, recording its meetings, its marches and what its members say for themselves. What these people advocate is the sexual abuse of children, and what is said in the film does not hide it. People opposed to the organisation and protesters also appear; the film was later used in training by law enforcement bodies and universities. How much room it gives its subjects, and its scattered construction, were criticised. Adi Sideman’s fifty five minute American documentary was completed in 1994.
