Chrichina

Marine is a young woman who lives in a village. In the village they call her Chrichina. The word means dragonfly in Georgian. The name comes from her singing and her high spirits. Everybody there knows her. She misses her chance at university. Then she falls for an architect who has come from the city. He is an educated man. Those around them do not think the two are suited. Marine wants to prove something. What she wants to prove is that she is good for more than singing all day, and she sets to work in the village. The architect cannot get her out of his head either. Leila Abashidze and Tsetsilia Tsutsunava appear in the hundred and twenty minute film, a Soviet production Siko Dolidze finished in 1954.
