What Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires Is About
It is not 1985 any more, it is 1986, and Chuck Steel is, in his long suffering captain's words, the best cop on the force: a loner who does not play by anybody's rules. When the Governor of Los Angeles cuts the licensing hours for bars, the city fills with inexplicable disappearances, every scene covered in blood with no victim in it. One victim escapes, and at the hospital Chuck meets a crazed old man calling himself Abraham Van Rental, who warns him what is coming: trampires, a hybrid of vampire and tramp. Michael Mort's animation parodies eighties action cinema deliberately and coarsely.
