What Citizens of the World Is About
Three pensioners in Rome accept that what they receive will not cover life there and start planning to move to another country: a map on the table, cheap places researched, visa conditions discussed. None of them actually wants to leave, and the film knows it. Gianni Di Gregorio keeps looking at the same subject in his films: growing old, money running short, and the small daily life built around that. The comedy is quiet and never cruel. One of Ennio Fantastichini's last films. Ninety-two minutes, in no hurry to get anywhere.
