What Class Enemy Is About
A new German teacher arrives in a secondary school class: distant, severe and more demanding than the students are used to. Shortly afterwards a girl in the class kills herself and the students find their culprit, the teacher. The film neither vindicates nor condemns them; it shows how a group needs someone to blame in order to bear the pain. Rok Bicek's first feature refuses to supply a single answer, and by the time it is clear that nobody is entirely innocent it is too late. Hard by its nature; the suicide is at the centre and the film does not soften it.
