Climber's High

On 12 August 1985 a large passenger aircraft comes down. Five hundred and twenty people are killed in the crash. It is the worst accident involving a single aircraft. The crash happens in the area covered by a local newspaper. Responsibility for the coverage is given to a journalist called Yuuki. Fact and rumour come in at the same speed and are hard to separate. Yuuki has to make one decision after another. At the same time he is dealing with the hierarchy inside the paper. The film asks what journalism is under that pressure. Shinichi Tsutsumi takes the lead in Masato Harada’s Japanese film of 2008.
