What Count Five and Die Is About

The film is set in the last years of the Second World War. The Allies have a plan for a landing. The real target is the coast of Normandy. The Germans, though, are to be made to expect somewhere else. A deception operation is built for that purpose. A fake film company is opened in Soho in London. The company is a cover and will put out false information. A British intelligence officer is in charge of the work. An American captain works alongside him. Dutch resistance members are on the team as well. The information they pass suggests a landing in the Netherlands. As the work goes on, a suspicion arises inside the team. The loyalty of the woman working the radio is questioned. When one of the contacts disappears after crossing over, the tension rises. Jeffrey Hunter and Nigel Patrick appear in the ninety two minute film, a British production Victor Vicas finished in 1957.
