Cowboys & Angels

Shane is a civil servant in Limerick and nothing happens in his life. He moves into a flat with Vincent, a fashion student, as a flatmate. Vincent is gay, says what he thinks, and is unlike anyone Shane has known. Beside him Shane learns how to dress, how to talk, how to carry himself, and ends up on the catwalk. But at the same time he gets drawn into work for a man moving drugs, and it stops being a story about changing your life. David Gleeson directs the Irish film; eighty-six minutes, with Michael Legge as Shane and Allen Leech as Vincent. It is Gleeson's first feature. It is set in Ireland in the early 2000s, when the country was getting rich fast, and neither of these two young men knows where he stands in it.
