Crown of Russian Empire, or the Elusives Again

The Russian Civil War is over and the White Army is either scattered or abroad. Some of the exiled nobility are trying to crown a new tsar outside the country, and a couple of impostors are competing for the seat. When old enemies also start trying to get back into Russia for reasons nobody can establish, four young agents are assigned to find out why. It leads to the imperial crown and the jewels on it; two of them infiltrate the emigrant community in Paris while the other two work at home. This is the last film of Edmond Keosayan's trilogy, part of an adventure series a whole Soviet generation knew by heart: somewhere between a western and a children's film, full of riders in pursuit. Its politics belong entirely to its moment and it makes no secret of that. The pace and the humour still carry it.
