What Crying Out Is About
A man has lost his wife. Without waiting for a funeral he takes her body and leaves. He tells nobody where he is going. When his son hears of it he decides to set out. The young man wants to find his father. He takes his grandfather along with him. The two of them take to the roads of Quebec by car. There are things between them that have gone unsaid for a long time. Old matters open up along the way. Rage, drink and violence are in that family’s past. Father and son, grandfather and grandson come face to face. As the confrontation goes on the tone changes. The hardness gives way to a kind of settling. Jean Lapointe and Patrick Hivon appear in the hundred and fourteen minute film, a Canadian production Robin Aubert finished in 2010.
