What Daisy Winters Is About
The unconventional but deeply loving relation an eleven year old girl has with her mother is harshly cut off. After that she tries both to stand on her own and to find the father she has never known. Most of the adults she meets along the way tell her what she ought to do; she holds out for making her own decision. While showing the child as strong the film does not make light of what she is going through, and keeps the anger that follows a loss inside the account. It offers no quick resolution. Sterling Jerins and Brooke Shields appear in Beth LaMure’s ninety minute American film, completed in 2017.
