Das Ende der Geduld

Corinna Kleist is a judge in a juvenile court. She has been away from work for a while. The reason she stepped back is a heavy one. The death of a young offender she had sentenced shook her. When she returns she is posted to a hard district in Berlin. The same files come up in front of her. Children start with small offences. The proceedings drag on for months. By the time a sentence comes the child has already changed. She believes this is not working. She proposes a way to speed the process up. Changing the system is not easy. Colleagues and offices resist. The film is adapted from the work and the book of a real judge. Martina Gedeck and Jörg Hartmann appear in the ninety three minute film, a German production Christian Wagner finished in 2014.
