Whether the country stayed independent hung on that day. The film tells the event through two people. Tanel is a young soldier. His wife Anna works at a telephone exchange. During the uprising Anna is taken hostage. Tanel is left on two fronts at once. He wants to get his wife back. He is also fighting for the independence of his country.
