What Delibal Is About
Barış studies architecture, plays music and takes life lightly. Füsun plans to finish top of her class and do a master's abroad, and does not deviate from the plan. Barış pursues her from the moment he sees her, and in time she enters the relationship too; they marry. Then the psychological illness Barış has carried for a long time moves to the centre of the marriage, and the two grow more and more dependent on each other. It did very well at the Turkish box office. Two warnings: the film deals directly with suicide and mental illness, and its handling of both was argued over on release.
