Dipu Number Two

The film starts from an adventure meant for young readers. Its source is a novel written for the young. At its centre is a boy called Dipu. Dipu comes from an educated family. There is a boy at school who torments him. That goes on for a while. But in time something forms between the two of them. It turns into a deep friendship. The rest of the account opens out into adventure. In one part the two of them come up against a group of robbers. They catch the group on their own. The film runs adventure and family film together. Arun Saha and Shubashish Roy take the leads, with Bobita and Bulbul Ahmed also in the cast, in Morshedul Islam’s Bangladeshi film of 1996.
