Don't Touch My Children

The film is drawn from a real case. Hanne is a mother living in the Netherlands. She has two children with her former husband Nizar. One day the man says he is taking the children on a trip. The place he names is an amusement park. He does not take them there. He takes them to Damascus instead. Hanne learns what has happened only later. The children are now in another country. She first goes through the official channels. The process moves slowly and brings nothing. She gets in touch with an adviser who works on child abduction cases. His name is Wouter Simons. The two of them look for a way. The struggle lasts two years. Karina Smulders and Cahit Ölmez appear in the eighty five minute film, a Dutch and Tunisian co-production Ron Termaat finished in 2010.
