Dosed

The documentary follows a woman trying to overcome anxiety, depression and opioid addiction with psychedelic substances. The film presents that path as a search for treatment and follows her process closely. The approach the account argues for is the film’s own position; the documentary takes a side and does not give the opposing view the same room, and the use of these substances remains a matter of legal and medical dispute in many countries. The film also records the daily form of the addiction, the relapses and the reactions of those around her. People working in the field appear in the interviews. Tyler Chandler’s eighty two minute documentary was completed in 2019.
