What Dual Alibi Is About

Georges and Jules are twin brothers. Both of them are trapeze artists. They come over from France to work in a British circus. Their act catches on and the work goes well. Then a million francs comes up on the lottery. The ticket is in their hands. Mike Bergen, who works at the circus, hears of it. He and his girlfriend Penny take the ticket. When the brothers work out what happened they go after them. It comes as far as murder. Each brother gives evidence for the other. So both of them slip clear of the charge. But the jealousy between them starts to grow. Herbert Lom and Phyllis Dixey take the leads, with Lom playing both brothers, in Alfred Travers’s British film of 1947.
