What Eating You Alive Is About
The documentary rests on a single thesis: that what we eat is the actual cause of chronic disease, and that switching to a whole-food, plant-based diet can reverse it. In Paul Kennamer’s film, doctors and nutrition researchers, among them Neal Barnard, Michael Greger and Dean Ornish, put that argument. Samuel L. Jackson talks about his own experience, while James Cameron and Suzy Amis Cameron take up the environmental side of it. This is not a survey of the science but an openly partisan case, and it gives no room to the other view. Screenings began in October 2016.
