What End of the Season Is About
Becker has come out after a long sentence and is trying to build a quiet life working as a night watchman. He is the man responsible for the deaths of a family eighteen years earlier, and a chance meeting with the one person left from that family pulls apart the new order he has been assembling; neither man knows what to do with the other’s existence. In Lars Henning’s ninety seven minute German film, Peter Kurth plays Becker and Karl Markovics the man opposite him, with Catrin Striebeck in the cast. It was completed in 2017 and shows from both sides that having served a sentence is not enough to settle the account.
