Extraordinary

Nikolai is a boy of eight. He lives with a congenital illness. He cannot walk and cannot speak. His doctors expect no improvement. His mother Tatyana has largely given up hope as well. Then Yuri, whom Tatyana has come to know, steps in. Yuri begins working with methods he has developed himself. During that work something is noticed. Nikolai has an extraordinary gift for music. Yuri teaches him to play the piano. Every piece he learns improves his condition a little further. In the end he gains movement and becomes a fine musician. The two of them travel to China for a piano competition. Aleksandr Yatsenko and Illarion Marov take the leads in Ilya Malanin’s Russian film of 2024.
