What False Trail Is About
Erik Bäckström, an interrogator, is sent back to the northern village he had to leave fifteen years earlier, this time over a serious crime. The silence of the place meets him at the door: the local policeman Torsten will not cooperate, has already locked up a suspect of his own choosing, and everyone from the hunters to Bäckström's own family has a stake in how this ends. It is a direct sequel to Kjell Sundvall's Jägarna from 1996, made after a fifteen year gap, with Rolf Lassgård returning and Peter Stormare opposite him.
