For The Birds

Irma is a woman attached to her independence. She sees freedom as standing on her own feet. She works at needing nobody. There is a hard and blunt side to her. Then she meets Sampie. He plays rugby and is a gentle sort. He is nothing like the type she expected. Something starts between them all the same. The relationship moves quickly and marriage comes up. But Irma has not surrendered. She teaches him a few things she knows. The two of them go on changing each other. The film is a romantic comedy shot in Afrikaans. Simoné Pretorius, Francois Jacobs and Elize Cawood appear in the hundred and twenty four minute film, a South African production Quentin Krog finished in 2016.
