Fuck You All: The Uwe Boll Story

The documentary is about the film career of Uwe Boll. He began in Germany in the early nineties, making independent work. In the years that followed he worked with Oscar winning actors and made films on budgets of sixty million dollars. In the same period actors publicly disparaged him, and online petitions demanded that he stop making films. Boll went on working and built a filmography of thirty two features, then took up running a high end restaurant. Judgement on him is split in two: for some a modern day Ed Wood, for others a prolific director who never compromised. The documentary carries both readings. Boll himself, Clint Howard and Michael Paré speak in Sean Patrick Shaul’s ninety seven minute film, a joint Canadian and American production, completed in 2018.
