What Gangster High Is About

Sang-ho is an ordinary boy just starting high school. His father is an army colonel and he means to go to the military academy himself. At school he becomes friends with Jae-gu, Chang-bae, Kyung-chul, Hong-kyu and Sang-sik, and together they put together a football team called the Tigers. Then they get into a fight with some older boys. One fight, then another. Before long the whole school takes them for a gang. And when Sang-ho gets close to a girl whose boyfriend runs a gang at another school, it gets worse still. Park Ki-hyung directs, with Jung Kyung-ho as Sang-ho. It is a Korean high school picture whose tone keeps hardening; it starts with friendship and arrives at how violence feeds itself.
