Garden Lane

Eric and Elin meet as adults. The meeting happens at a funeral. The two of them start remembering their childhood. They had met for the first time that summer. Their parents Linda and Peter were using drugs. For a few months they all lived in the same house. Those months were both beautiful and hard. The children were holding out against being pulled into that world. The film moves between two times. The present and that summer stand side by side. Coming to terms with the past does not come easily. Karin Franz Körlof and Simon J. Berger take the leads, with Emil Algpeus and Nike Ringqvist also in the cast, in Olof Spaak’s Swedish film of 2017.
