What George Michael: Freedom Uncut Is About
The documentary is about the years after Faith in 1987, the making of Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 in 1990 and everything that weighed on that period. There are two deaths in it: George Michael’s partner Anselmo Feleppa died of AIDS-related complications, and then he lost his mother. There is also the court case he brought against his record label, aimed at the standard recording contract, a case that opened the rules of the music industry to argument. David Austin and George Michael directed it together and Michael himself narrates. It was filmed before his death, which makes it his last work. The summary text in the record carries em dashes that came in from an external source.
