Ghulam

Siddharth is a neighbourhood tough in Mumbai and an amateur boxer. His older brother Jai works for Raunak Singh, who runs the area on protection money, and Siddharth is caught up in it too. Their father was a freedom fighter who died in front of him when he was a boy, and that has never left him. What happens to Hari, who stands up against the extortion, changes everything, and Siddharth ends up against his own brother. Adapted from Budd Schulberg's On the Waterfront. Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji star, and the song Aati Kya Khandala, sung by Khan himself, became the property of a whole Indian generation.
