Give 'em Hell, Harry!

The film captures a one-man play performed on stage. On stage is Harry S. Truman. The actor plays him from start to finish. The filming was done before a live audience. Truman tells his own life. He speaks of his home in Missouri. He recalls his years as a soldier in the Great War. He describes his early post in Kansas City. Then the presidency comes. He defends his decision on the atomic bomb. He explains removing General MacArthur from command. He speaks of his wife Bess. The account moves with humour and with feeling. The title comes from a shout at an election rally. James Whitmore appears in the one hundred four minute film, an American production Steve Binder finished in 1975.
