God Forbid a Worse Thing Should Happen

The film is set in a small Croatian town. The events begin in the nineteen sixties. A family lives in that town. The youngest boy of the house is called Frula. The film tells of his growing up. His father Branko sets the order of the house. His mother Nevenka holds the family together. The boy grows up curious about everything around him. Music and fashion enter his life. Friendships and youthful enthusiasms begin. As the years pass the country changes too. The family lives inside that change. The story rests on a writer’s own memories. The film looks back with warmth. Luka Dragić and Filip Ćurić appear in the one hundred seven minute film, a Croatian production Snježana Tribuson finished in 2002.
