What God Forgives... I Don't! Is About
A train has been robbed, everyone aboard killed and three hundred thousand dollars has vanished. Cat Stevens, a gambler, believes the robbery was done by Bill San Antonio, who is presumed dead; Hutch, an insurance investigator, wants the money. The two do not trust each other but they are hunting the same man. Giuseppe Colizzi's film entered history as the first pairing of Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, who are not yet a comic duo here but a hard spaghetti western partnership, with none of the joking tone of the later pictures. The story runs on revenge and negotiation, and the violence is high for its period. Its success began a partnership that would last for years. Who it is for: viewers who like spaghetti westerns and early Hill and Spencer. Who it is not for: anyone expecting the pair's comedies.
