God's Army 2: States of Grace

The account takes place around Venice and Santa Monica in California. A shooting from a passing car changes five lives. Two young missionaries are caught in the middle of it. Their names are Lozano and Farrell. Lozano used to run with a gang. Now he knocks on doors. One of the bullets hits a young man named Carl, and Lozano pulls him out. Carl comes back later to thank him. He reads the book he was given and asks to be baptised. He buries his weapons, then turns back to violence when his brother Todd is killed, and in the end throws his gun into the sea. Another line follows Louis, a homeless street preacher who had lost his congregation to drink. A third follows Farrell and Holly, a neighbour hoping to act, which ends with Farrell in crisis and off the mission. Ignacio Serricchio and Lucas Fleischer take the leads in the hundred and twenty eight minute film, an American production Richard Dutcher finished in 2005.
