González: The False Prophet

González lives in Mexico City. The room he stays in is falling apart. The city is one of the largest in the world. Nobody there takes any notice of him. He has debts as well. He wants to pay them off. At the same time he wants to be somebody. Then he comes upon the world of the big churches. Money moves fast in that world. There he sees a short road to getting rich. He is ready to do whatever he can for it. According to the film these churches feed on the poor who are looking for hope. The account proceeds like a thriller. Carlos Bardem and Harold Torres take the leads in Christian Díaz Pardo’s Mexican film of 2014.
