Heaven Without People

Josephine is the head of a large family. She calls everyone to the table for Easter. They have not managed to gather like this for two years. That is why she is so pleased. The house fills up. The meal starts and the mood is good. Talk moves along with laughter. Then something small happens. The incident itself is not large. What it does is bring up everything underneath. Old grievances arrive at the table. Things left unsaid get said one by one. The gathering comes apart slowly. Almost the whole film takes place in that house. Samira Sarkis, Farah Shaer and Nadim Abou Samra appear in the ninety one minute film, a Lebanese production Lucien Bourjeily finished in 2017.
