What Hindi Medium Is About
Raj and Mita, a well off couple in Delhi, want their daughter admitted to an elite English medium school. They have the money, but the obstacle is class rather than money: they speak Hindi at home and the school’s circle treats that as a defect. To get the child in, the family first pretends to be rich and then pretends to be poor, and the whole thing tips into farce.
