Home Sweet Home

Sofie starts a new job. She works in home care. She visits old people in their houses. There is a list to get through each day. The visits follow one after another. The weight of the work is felt from the first day. More than the tasks on the list comes up in those houses. Loneliness is one of them. Some houses are silent, some are full. Sofie is learning what distance to keep. What the rules allow and what the person needs do not always match. The film sets the work out in detail, a profession that stays largely invisible to the public. Jette Søndergaard appears in the hundred and twelve minute film, a Danish production René Frelle Petersen finished in 2025.
