Homecoming

Dr Lee Johnson is a doctor full of himself. He enlists in the army during the Second World War. But he does not do it out of patriotism. He goes because he thinks it is the thing to do. On his first day he runs into a nurse. The nurse goes by the name Snapshot. The woman puts him in his place. The friction between them changes in time. That friction then turns into a romance. But Lee has a wife at home. His wife Penny is waiting for him. Lee is split in two by guilt. Clark Gable, Lana Turner and Anne Baxter take the leads in Mervyn LeRoy’s American film of 1948.
