What Homestead Is About
A nuclear bomb goes off in Los Angeles and the country falls apart within days. Former Green Beret Jeff Eriksson takes his family to a prepper's fortified compound in the mountains. That is the film's real question: who do you let in, who do you turn away, and what morality survives the answer. Made from within Christian production, adapted from a novel and designed as the opening of a series, it stops rather than ends. Neal McDonough plays the man who built the place.
