What Huddersfield Is About

Raša is in his thirties, lives with his alcoholic father and is failing to make ends meet: he gives literature lessons to teenage girls and hosts a local radio programme presenting new books and interviewing their authors. Neither is enough. His old friend Ivan was a promising judo fighter once; the years since have brought hospitals, heavy medication, psychotic episodes and a run through various occult circles, ending with his baptism in the Orthodox church. The film is adapted from Uglješa Šajtinac's play, which won the Sterija award in 2005; Šajtinac wrote the screenplay with Dejan Nikolaj Kraljačić. Ivan Živković directed. It takes place in a small Serbian town.
