What I Am Your Father Is About
David Prowse was the man inside the Darth Vader suit. He was behind the mask for three films, while the voice belonged to James Earl Jones and the face, when it was finally uncovered, belonged to another actor. By the time he was in his eighties his name had stopped appearing at Lucasfilm events. A group of Star Wars fans set out to find out why, and to give him back the moment they think he was owed. Marcos Cabotá's documentary is both a fan project and a question about who the industry remembers and who it does not. Kenny Baker and Lou Ferrigno are among those who speak alongside Prowse. Prowse died in 2020.
