What I Love a Man in Uniform Is About
Henry, who works at a bank, looks like an ordinary man from outside; he wants to act, and still answers to an overbearing father. When he gets the part of a policeman in a television series he takes it for the chance of his life and starts going out in the uniform to prepare for the role. At first nobody notices, then people take him for a real officer, and he cannot give up that attention; the incidents he intervenes in grow steadily harder. The film builds this as a story of identity: a man who, with the authority the uniform lends him, at last takes himself for somebody. Tom McCamus and Brigitte Bako appear in David Wellington’s ninety nine minute Canadian film.
