What Ip Man: The Awakening Is About
Arriving in Hong Kong from Foshan in the thirties, the young Ip Man is not yet the measured and mature man he later became but a confident youth. When he stops a woman being abducted on a bus he finds himself against an international trafficking ring protected by bribed British police. In retaliation the gang takes one of his friends, forcing him to face their fighter directly. Starring Xie Miao, this is not part of the well known Donnie Yen series but a separate, small scale production running seventy six minutes.
