Joanna Pardos's 2024 documentary concerns the World Cup won by the Spanish women's team in 2023 and what followed. At the awards ceremony the federation president kissed a player without her consent, and that overshadowed the celebration. The documentary does not treat this as a single incident. The players describe the struggle they had waged against the federation before the tournament; working conditions, problems with the coaching staff and a collective resignation are covered in detail. Jennifer Hermoso, Alexia Putellas and other members of the team appear on camera. The narrative proceeds from the players' side, and the legal process that followed and the federation's response are also addressed. Who it's for: those who follow women's football and documentary about sporting institutions. Who it's not for: viewers expecting an account from both sides; the documentary takes the players' version as its basis.
