It's Gonna Get Worse

The film is set in the Czechoslovakia of the seventies. The country is under Soviet occupation and the police state is working. Olin is a young man of twenty one. He cut his wrists to avoid military service. He spent time in a mental hospital because of it. Now he is out. He is a known name in the underground music scene. Like those around him he lives by his own rules. That visibility makes him a target, though. The security forces come after him. As the pressure grows his life narrows. In the end he has no way left but to run. He wants to cross the border and reach the West. The place he dreams of is one he has never seen. Pavel Zajíček and Karel Zima appear in the eighty six minute film, a Czech production Petr Nikolaev finished in 2007.
