What Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari Is About
A man finds a ring that gives its bearer great power. But the ring belongs to a goddess, and she wants it back so that she can return to her own world. What follows is their meeting, their contest and their coming to know each other. The film runs its fantastic elements together with comedy and action; in Telugu cinema of 1990 effects on this scale were not common. The account does not draw the goddess merely as a figure of power and gives her as someone with a loss of her own. The songs are set inside the story. Chiranjeevi and Sridevi appear in K Raghavendra Rao’s hundred and fifty minute Telugu film, completed in 1990.
