What Jim's Story Is About
One evening in the Jura, Aymeric runs into Florence, a woman he used to work with, six months pregnant and on her own. He is there when Jim is born, and the three of them build several good years together. Then Christophe, Jim’s biological father, turns up. The Larrieu brothers refuse to make a melodrama out of this and instead set out, very quietly, how fatherhood is assembled from years rather than from blood, and how little the law cares about that distinction. Karim Leklou’s performance holds it together.
