What Johan Falk: GSI - Gruppen för särskilda insatser Is About
Johan Falk is a police officer working alongside GSI, the unit dealing with organised crime. The target here is a professional crew hitting armoured cash transports. As the case develops it stops being about the robberies and becomes about the informant relationship, about who is using whom, since the man Falk is closest to is also the man on the inside. Anders Nilsson directs this instalment of the Swedish series, with Jakob Eklund as Falk and Joel Kinnaman as Frank Wagner. It puts the familiar chill of Nordic crime inside an action frame, and treats crime as organised, patient work rather than individual deviance.
