What Just Another Christmas Is About
A man who hates Christmas, and complains about it every year because his birthday falls on the same day, wakes after an accident to find he has skipped a year, and from then on lives only the Christmas days. The film plays the rule for comedy while also skipping the losses: his children have grown, relationships have changed, and he has seen none of it. That is where the narrative puts its weight. Roberto Santucci directed, with Leandro Hassum in the lead. It is a Brazilian production and a sequel followed. Who it's for: those looking for a Christmas comedy to watch with family. Who it's not for: viewers wanting an original structure; the premise is familiar from many films.
