Kenny

Kenny Dalglish played for Celtic and for Liverpool, wore the Scotland shirt, and later managed Liverpool. The documentary tells his career in his own words and in his family's. His daughter and his wife speak in it. Alongside the story of success on the pitch, it takes on the hardest period of his life directly. At the centre of Stewart Sugg's documentary is the Hillsborough disaster of 1989. Dalglish was Liverpool's manager at the time; he went to the funerals and stood with the families. Margaret Aspinall of the Hillsborough Family Support Group speaks in the film. The outcome of the long legal fight is on the record: the 2016 inquests found the deaths unlawful and the supporters were exonerated.
